Date changed again to July 15th 9:30a’m-12:30 , This is a Fun free Community Event for all! (EVERYONE MUST REGISTER & SIGN WAIVER) regardless if you have your own paddle boat/board. Send request by text to 503-877-8449. Join us over on the Rocks, where everyone parks on the West Salem Side, next to the Wheatland Ferry. If you are coming from Keizer, take the ferry over to the West Salem side on the river bar and free parking. From there we will be paddling up a slight current up river Towards the large rock bar where all the agates are found. Prize winner for largest rock agate found. We will have a BBQ for all those that have preregistred & signed the waivers, regardless if you have your own kayak or paddle board. Then drift back to boat launch. No shuttle needed. This is family friendly. Dress appropriately for Weather and shoes that can get wet. You can search for agates from your kayak or get out and walk along the rock bar. $5 state parking if you luach from the park.

(MAKE SURE TO SEND REQUEST TO RSVP) to be aware of date or time changes due to weather. We have already changed date 2 times. Best to stay informed.

To register: RSVP. Salem Kayak Rentals will email/ text you back requesting RSVP for each person, age and if you have your own gear or needing a rental to send you waivers by DocuSign.

 If you have your own gear. You will receive Waiver From Salem Kayak Club for joining their community event. If you like to learn more about the club and info. (Email) a request at SalemKayakClub@gmail.com.

If you like to rent a kayak and include kayak shuttling, gear, rental and guide. It’s $50 per person (Special pricing). Rental requirement: Less then 245pds and 6’1”. Water temps are still cold and will be paddling in 10ft sit inside kayaks.
