This is our 2nd year! We know first hand Hoe much our society is impacted by Domestic Violence. We are survivors of 7.5 yrs of physical violence. My ex husband did 5.5yr of prison time after I was brave enough to testify in court. Not all individuals have the chance to stand up in court and get justice. This paddle awareness is to help the individuals to get help, resources to stay out and stay alive. And help break the silence for all those that died from DV.

I later became a victim advocate for the Marion County District Attorneys office to help other DV victims like myself. And have ever since been advocating for the cause.

We launched from Wallace Marine Boat Launch by 1pm. Paddle down an hour to Keizer Rapids Park for a raffle give away for Free kayak rental’s, t-shirts, kayak tours by Salem Kayak Rentals LLC.

Everyone is expected to wear purple for Domestic Violence Awareness month .

It’s $10 per registry. Proceeds go to Hope & Safety. Two raffle entry per registry. Or one raffle per set of $10 donated.

Launch time 1pm - 3:30pm (included raffle at park. Every one is invited in the kayak community and people who need to rent a kayak for the cause and I will shuttle.
