This event is Free and placed on the Willamette River between the Minto Brown Walk Bridge/ Steam Boat next to the River Front Park In Salem. The river currents are (settle) over here. Making it easy to paddle and float. A lot of people will come to the park to observe and watch our Halloween Paddle from the park and walk bridge for their entertainment as well. We will have music, Halloween goodies bag for each registered person. and a chance to win 1 of 3 winners for the Halloween Costume Contest At 1:00pm next to the Minto Brown Walk Bridge. After contest, your welcome to stay and hang out or head out. We would like to have everyone over by the Park in the water by noon or earlier.

Life Vest must be on paddle board or kayak and highly encouraged to wear to avoid Drowning. Water Temps start to become cold in September. Currents can take you down if you fall in. Safety First.

Sign in starts at 11:30AM at the Wallace Marine Boat Launch, where you will Receive your costume contest # number and check you in the registry.

From there you will either launch and paddle across the river, over to the Minto Brown Bridge. Or you can launch from the River Front Side Park river doc. The River Front, may he more ideal for paddle boarders. Depending on river levels, will depend in current speed from Wallace Marine Launch. For the most part is rather easy to still paddle over for kayakers.

Make sure to RSVP/ REGISTER by emailing:(HalloweenPaddle@Gmail.com) will need to sign your own waiver to attend, which waivers are submitted by your email from DocuSign. We will need your first and last name Of each person and their email. If you have kids age 12 and older. Please confirm in email request. you have minors and their Ages. And you will need to give them permission on same waiver.

If you are needing to (RENT A KAYAK), please contact Salem Kayak Rentals LLC, By Text Message Request at 503-877-8449. Kayak Shuttling will be included, only 12 spots available in Shuttling. Each renter will be responsible for showing up by 11:30AM. After 11:45am, you will not be able to get your rental and no refund, renters will be remaining through the event until 1:30pm, so we can properly load kayak back into trailer. They can not be left unattended if you decide to leave early. There is a discount of $30 per rental For this event.
